10. RECEIVING OUR COVENANT, BLOOD-BOUGHT, MIRACLE-WORKING POWER FOR MINISTRY
Now by the covenant blood of Jesus and in the name of Jesus, Lord, Your Word states in Luke 14:21-23 to call in the maimed, the sick, and the blind. In Matt 15:30-31 and Jn 11, Your Word says that when people brought to Jesus the sick, they were healed. The blind eyes were opened, and the maimed were made whole. Lord You said in Your Word in Acts 10:34 and 1Cor 12:7 that You, Father, are no respecter of persons, and we are joint heirs with Jesus. (Gal 3:29) Jesus said in John 14:12-14: Truly, truly those that believe on Him, the work that He did shall we do also; and greater works than these shall we do, because He went up unto You, Father. So, Father, upon the covenant blood of Jesus that was shed for our right standing with You, we stand upon Your word and promises to receive the Jesus-kind of miracle working power, and for Him to be in operation in our own lives right now. Lord, I have been fed up with, and I will not be satisfied with just hearing of how my Lord has moved in the generations that came before me. Nor will I be satisfied with hearing how those that are on the mission fields of other nations are seeing Your miracle working power in operation today. I say that I want my partners, my readers, and myself to experience Elijah's fire of Your glory in our own lives! I have a burning desire to see Your power in action as in addition to believing in Your miracle-working power. Let us see the maimed made whole, the blind eyes opened, and the seriously sick healed! Remember Your servant Gideon in Judges 6:13, where he also asked You, "Where are the miracles that our fathers told us of Lord?" So, that puts us in good company to say that we can't be satisfied and will not be satisfied any longer just hearing about Your power. I say we've got to have it now! Father, Your Word says that we would have the former and latter rain of Your glory. (Deut 11:14; Job 29:23; Jer 5:24; Hos. 6:3; Joel 2:23-26; James 5:7) Then You even told us in Zac 10:1 to ask for Your rain in the latter rain. We, Father, since You told us to ask You, then we obey You and ask for You to send us a downpour of Your glory in this generation, in our cities, in our states, and in our country today! (Pv. 16:15; Ps 5:12) You also said that You would make bright clouds and give us showers of rain. Then in Haggai 2:7-9, You said You will shake all nations, and the desire and the precious things of all nations shall come in, and You will fill this house with splendor. The silver is Yours, and the gold is Yours that the glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. Lord, even Moses asked You in Ex 33:18 for You to show him Your glory, and You did> (Ex 33:19-23; Deut 34:10) He was only one of Your servants, Lord. Will You do less for Your children? (John 1:12-13) By the authority of Your word I can say no! You said of John the Baptist, in Matt 11:10-12, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the most insignificant person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is! I'm an heir of salvation, and so are my partners, Lord. (Gal 3:29) We go forth into this world standing on Is. 4:29 and Phil 4:13 that You, Lord, give us power when we faint and increase our strength. (Acts 6:8) God is our strength and power, and You make our way perfect. (2Sam 22:23) For my God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and a sound mind. (2Tim 1:17) Rom 9:17 says that even for this purpose have You raised us up, that You might show Your power in us, and that Your name might be declared throughout all the earth. You, Father, have given us power and authority over all devils, and to cure all diseases. And you send us to preach the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Mark 6:7; Luke 9;1-2) You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy, and we can walk among snakes and scorpions (demons) and crush them. Nothing will injure us. (Luke 10:19; Acts 1:8; Mark 1:14-15) Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, we are fully preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Rom 15:19) For the Spirit of the Lord is upon us, because He has anointed us to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent us to announce release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind. To set free those who are downtrodden. To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:48-49) The preaching of the cross is the power of God. (!Cor 1:18) The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. (1Cor 2:4-5; 1Cor 4:20; 1Thes 1:5) So, Father, I stand in agreement with Jesus for my partners and readers and myself from John 17:22-23 where Jesus said the glory which You, Father, gave to Jesus, He has given to us; that we may be one even as you are one. That the world may know that You sent Jesus and did love us, even as You did Jesus. And in John 14:12-14, Jesus said, the truth is, anyone who believes in Him will do the same works He has done, and even greater works, because He has gone to be with the Father. We can ask for anything in Jesus' name, and Jesus will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. Yes, ask anything in His name and He will do it! So I pray always for us and give thanks that my God would count us worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of faith with power, may the name of my Lord Jesus be glorified in us, and we in Him according to the grace of my God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thes. 1:11-12) For God is awesome in His sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to His people. Praise be to God! (Ps 68:35 NLB) As for me,and my partners, we will see Your face in righteousness; we shall be satisfied when we awake in Your likeness.
