Literal Translation =Deut 31:8 And Jehovah is He who is going before you; He Himself shall be with you; He shall not fail you nor forsake you. Do not fear nor be afraid.

Contemporary English=Deut 31:8 The LORD will lead you into the land. He will always be with you and help you, so don't ever be afraid of your enemies.

American Standard = Deut 31:8 And Jehovah, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

1Co 1:9

American Standard =1Co 1:9 God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Contemporary English = 1Co 1:9 God can be trusted, and he chose you to be partners with his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Psa 36:6

Literal Translation =Psa 36:6 Your righteousness like the hills of God; Your judgments are a great deep; O Jehovah, You preserve animal and man.

American Standard = Psa 36:6 Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; Thy judgments are a great deep: O Jehovah, thou preservest man and beast.

Contemporary English = Psa 36:6 Your decisions are always fair. They are firm like mountains, deep like the sea, and all people and animals are under your care.

Gen. 28:15

Contemporary English = Gen. 28:15 Wherever you go, I will watch over you, then later I will bring you back to this land. I won't leave you--I will do all I have promised.

Literal Translation = Gen. 28:15 And, behold, I will be with you and will guard you in every place in which you may go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not forsake you until I have surely done that which I have spoken to you.

American Standard = Gen. 28:15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee, whithersoever thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land. For I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Is. 42:1,4

American Standard =Is. 42:1 Behold, my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.Isa 42:4 He will not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set justice in the earth; and the isles shall wait for his law.

Contemporary English = Isa 42:1 Here is my servant! I have made him strong. He is my chosen one; I am pleased with him. I have given him my Spirit, and he will bring justice to the nations. Isa 42:4 He won't quit or give up until he brings justice everywhere on earth, and people in foreign nations long for his teaching.

Literal Translation = Isa 42:1 Behold My Servant; I will uphold Him; My Elect in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit on Him; He shall bring forth justice to the nations. Isa 42:4 He shall not fail nor be crushed until He has set justice in the earth; and the coasts shall wait for His Law.

Eph. 1:10,22-23

Literal Translation = Eph. 1:10,22-23 for the administration of the fullness of the times to head up all things in Christ, both the things in the heavens, and the things on earth, in Him, Eph. 1:22 and He "put all things under His feet" and gave Him to be Head over all things to the assembly, Psa. 8:6 Eph. 1:23 which is His body: the fullness of the One filling all things in all;

Contemporary English = Eph. 1:10 Then when the time is right, God will do all that he has planned, and Christ will bring together everything in heaven and on earth. Eph. 1:22 God has put all things under the power of Christ, and for the good of the church he has made him the head of everything. Eph. 1:23 The church is Christ's body and is filled with Christ who completely fills everything.

American Standard = Eph. 1:10 unto a dispensation of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, I say, Eph. 1:22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, Eph. 1:23 which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.
