Chapter Fourteen
SECRET OF THE BLACK BOX
Smaller black cubes and
pieces of filmy material filled the box. Something that slowed faintly could be seen at
the bottom. Touching the black cubes caused pictures of people and places to come to their
minds. The filmy material was full of plans for the pyramid complex to be built behind the
Sphinx. There were also plans for building disk shaped flying ships that could travel in
space.
"Wow!" Dan exclaimed."If I could just
memorize some of this stuff. Think of what it would mean in our time."
"Yeah, right. Government secrecy, opposing forces
trying to kill you to keep the secret from leaking out; all kinds of nice stuff like
that," Phil said sarcastically.
"The world does not change." Jeremiah shook his
head. "Even in your time they have not learned the lessons of the past. Always a few
want everything for themselves and want to control everything and everybody."
"Then why are we doing this?" Laura said in
dismay. "What's the use of it all?"
"Tell it to as many as will listen before any
government can shut us up," Phil said. "Perhaps some caught up in the New Age
craze and those that listen to 'space brothers' and think UFOs are the answer to our
cosmic problems will come to see the truth of what we tell them."
Laura gazed at Phil with large blue eyes. "We must
try. God will show us what to do at the right time, right, Phil?"
"Of course. I know we're here for a reason even if we
don't understand it all right now."
"Jesus will return to the Earth soon, in our
time," Belinda said. "We must use all we know to gather as many to Him as
possible before the Rapture occurs. Even those left behind may come to know and believe in
Him by the information we leave for them. We can use books, the Internet, every
communication resource we can think of and that God brings to mind. We will all have a big
job to do when we get back."
They all sat in silence for a few moments as the enormity
of the task ahead became real to them.
"God must open the doors," Jeremiah said.
"He must make the task one that can be done. Now we must find that book Michael left
in this box."
Jeremiah dug down to the bottom of the cube until his
slender fingers found the thin book placed there by one of God's Generals in the army of
angels.
They all gathered close to Jeremiah as he carefully opened
the pages.
"That's not Atlantean," Dan observed.
"No," Jeremiah breathed in awe. "It is
Hebrew!"
"How can that be? There was no Hebrew language back
then." Phil looked puzzled. "God had it all planned even then. He is truly an
awesome God."
"Amen to that!" they all chorused together.
"Can you read it, Jeremiah?" Laura asked.
"Yes!"
"Please, " Belinda entreated, "read it to
us."
"This is written for one named Jeremiah and his
friends, Daniel, Laura, Philip and Belinda."
"It says that?" Laura squealed. The others sat in
stunned silence. "He knew our names and all about us even then!"
"Go on," Belinda said with tears drifting down
her cheeks. "Tell us what else it says."
Jeremiah sucked in his breath and began. "With great
sorrow God has judged Lucifer and those that follow him.
"For millennia they were given innumerable chances to
turn from their sin, but they would not.
"In the beginning God and Lucifer were the
closest of friends. God confide His plans for mankind to him. He expected Lucifer to
rejoice with Him. Man was to be part of God's very family.
"Angels are created beings. They are intelligent,
powerful and beautiful. They ruled the universe for God. They were rulers over planets.
"The Earth and the Galaxy, in which it abides, was
given as a gift for Lucifer to oversee.
"Angels were to have this duty until 'man' should
become part of God's family as heirs together with His Son. Even then those angels true to
God would keep their estate, sharing it with the new children of God; the saints of
God.
"Lucifer became jealous and began to plot against God
to take over as god of the universe.
"He was the most beautiful, powerful and brilliant of
all God's angels. That has never been taken from him.
"He now uses his power and great knowledge to turn all
against God. The only way he can defeat man is to turn him away from God. He incorporates
all into part of his army to war against God at the end. He uses demons, angels, evil men
and the belief in beings from other worlds to defeat God.
He knows his end, but is determined to take as much of
God's beloved creation with him as p possible. It is his way of hurting the one who was
once his friend.
"Never underestimate his hatred for all humanity, even
those who follow him.
"Hell was created for Lucifer, now Satan, and his
angels, not for man. Man goes there by his own choice.
"Stay in the Word which will be written by the time
you read this. It is your only protection in the last days of your age.
"God loves you. He wants you to learn enough of the
ways of your enemy to recognize him in all his guises.
"Tell what you know to the people. Some will hate you,
but many will listen. It is for them that you are here."
Jeremiah looked up. "That is all there is."
"No. I see one more page." Dan said.
Jeremiah turned the page.
"With Jesus as the head and the mass of believers
making up His body, that is God's masterpiece. You are all part of Christ's body; his
masterpi9ece. By the p power of the name of the Son of God you can defeat the evil one no
matter what disguise he wars, but you must know those disguises.
"Do not be afraid to go to the underworld for God will
be with you even there.
"When believers in your time are caught away to save
you from the seven terrible years of judgment, even then Satan will mimic this with
massive abductions by both fallen angels and demons disguised as extraterrestrials. They
will think they are going to a better place, but they will taken bodily to Hell.
"There are extraterrestrials, but they have been
forbidden by God to come anywhere near the Earth until all judgment and trials are
complete.
"Be always alert and watchful for your enemy never
sleeps."
Jeremiah started to put the small book in his pocket. As he
did it vanished into thin air.
"I hoped we could keep that one thing, but I guess we
can't take anything but what we know through time." Dan sighed his disappointment.
The others nodded in agreement.
"Perhaps it is for the best. What would those who
abducted you do, Dan, if they could read that?" Belinda gazed sympathetically at Dan.
"But can't they read it in our minds anyway?" he
asked.
"God protects those who are His own," Phil said.
"Satan no longer possesses the power to read your
mind, nor does anyone else," Belinda assured him.
"I am grateful for that!" Jeremiah commented.
"Me, too!" Laura said.
Dan looked around at the glowing room full of artifacts.
"So now what?"
"Now we must leave here," Belinda answered.
"We must go back through the Arch and see what Zeus and Ra are up to."
Dan looked at her doubtfully as did the others. "Why
is that so important anyway?"
"You will see. Come we must go back to the Arch."
Once again they were in the swirling mists of the Arch. The
doorways appeared.
"It must be this one," Jeremiah said pointing to
a squiggly symbol that seemed to have several tails and a large dot with three pyramids.
"I think it represents the Nile River and the pyramids and the dot is where the
other Arch is."
"The makes sense," Dan agreed. "You're good
at deciphering stuff, kid."
"I learned to do it in order to survive."
Laura patted his shoulder gently then they all plunged
through the doorway.
