Chapter Twenty-Eight

Aboard a UFO

“This makes it official. We have now been abducted by aliens and brought aboard a UFO. I am impressed.” Syd said sarcastically noting the looks of shock on the faces of his friends.

“Silence!” The woman warned them all as she and her companion shoved them down a dimly lit corridor.

They all observed their surroundings as they preceded their captors. They were all more curious than fearful. Knowing they were under God’s protection gave them a confidence in their future most don’t have. The suffocating smells assaulted their senses as well as what they were seeing. The unmistakable smell of death permeated the air of the craft.

“This isn’t what I expected from what I have heard from abductees,” Syd whispered to the others. “Where’s the brightly lit room with the examination table? Where are the grays, the reptilians and some representatives of military personnel? This corridor is dirty, dull and dark.”

“You will find out all you need to know soon enough,” the male voice behind him chuckled.

“Perhaps we see things differently,” Myrna added clinging to Murphy’s arm, “because of Who we believe in and besides we are wide awake, not paralyzed in sleep as some abductees report.”

“Turn here,” the woman in gray commanded giving Jeremiah a nudge with her weapon.

They turned into a large rounded room furnished only with a large table in the center that looked like it was made of black polished lava rock. Several grays, reptilians and human looking people were sitting at the table all on one side. It looked like a panel of strange judges.

They were shoved and maneuvered into a line facing the table with the couple in gray behind them.

General Wiley chewed on a cigar not daring to light it because of his alien companions. One other representative of The Company was present besides the general. The rest were all representatives of demons of varying ranks and stations.

The four of you have managed to cause us more trouble than anyone else on the whole planet. We know you are responsible for Boyd’s death, the destruction of the time gate and the artifacts we wanted. Oh, and, of course, the plans for the weapon. You must have had help. Humans cannot resist us alone.”

The towering figures of Anubis and Osiris entered the room and stood behind the panel. The smell of death and sulfur accompanied the figure of Anubis. Here was the Egyptian angel of death in the flesh so-to-speak.

“We know Who helps them!” Anubis thundered angrily numbing the ears of all present. He bared his sharp teeth in a mocking smile. “He who helps you is not here at the moment so you are at my mercy.” He laughed causing vibrations to move everyone in the room including those on the panel. “Of course, I don’t have any mercy.”

Suddenly the four were filled with excruciating pain from their heads to their toes. The pain in their heads robbed them of all control and they fell to the floor screaming and writhing in agony. Murphy’s scar was a bright purple. They all held their heads and prayed silently.

Just as suddenly as it began it stopped. “That is just a taste of what you will get if you don’t give us what we want.”

Osiris laughed his booming laugh. “You are so dramatic, Anubis. This is great. I am no longer bored. What else shall we do to them?”

“Patience, my friend, patience. We will get those plans no matter how long it takes. You are welcome to observe my methods. Feel free to join in at any time,” he laughed menacingly.

“Plans for the weapon. Give them to us now. We know you have studied them even if you have destroyed the artifacts and the written plans. They are in your minds and we will get them out. General you and the others may watch and learn.”

Without warning all four found themselves flying through the air and pinned by an invisible force against the far wall.

Anubis walked slowly back and forth before them studying each one intently while Osiris looked on with his arms folded enjoying every moment.

Anubis reached into the folds of his robes and pulled out a small oval shaped bottle with a pointed tip. He stood in front of Myrna. He had surmised her to be the weakest link. He then pointed the tip of the bottle toward her and a drop of amber liquid flew out and hit her in the chest.

Burning pain started at the wound site and coursed throughout her chest as she screamed.

Murphy struggled to reach their tormentor but could not move. The others struggled as well but to no avail.

Anubis then pulled out another bottle that looked like the first and pointed it at her and a drop of blue liquid flew out hitting her in the same spot. She then stopped screaming as the pain began to lessen.

“I can keep this up indefinitely. It is up to all of you how long. It will not cease until one of you gives me the plans for the weapon.”

“We didn’t memorize that stuff. It was way over our heads,” John roared in anger and frustration.

“It was in a language we had never seen.” Syd added as the sweat from trying to free himself dripped from his face.

All of them were drenched in sweat from the humid and suffocating air as well as the strain of their plight.

“And what about you?” Anubis stood in front of the white faced Jeremiah who had remained silent throughout the questioning. “I know you have knowledge and understanding the others do not. If you do not speak, your friends will suffer greatly.”

Jeremiah stared at him and remained silent.

Anubis got out the bottle with amber liquid and aimed at Myrna, Murphy and Syd. Their screams of agony filled the room.

Anubis stood again in front of Jeremiah. “How long are you going to let this go on?” He said in a non-characteristic soft and chiding voice. “Your friends are in agony and only you can stop it.”

Tears dripped from Jeremiah’s face. Finally he answered as the screams of his friends chilled his very soul. “I will tell you only if you stop their pain right now. I cannot think with their screams in my ears.”

Anubis threw the bottle with the blue liquid in it to Osiris with a motion for him to attend to it while he waited for Jeremiah’s answer.

The room became pregnant with a heavy silence. Only the panting breaths of the three torture victims could be heard as Anubis stood expectantly before Jeremiah.

“Don’t tell him anything, Jer!” Murphy gasped.

Mercifully Myrna passed out from the strain.

Osiris put his hand across Murphy’s mouth and nose until he turned blue. When his eyes started to bulge, Osiris removed his hand. The ancient god of the Egyptians stared Murphy in the eye and said softly. “I think it would be wise for you to keep quiet. Next time I won’t take my hand away.”

“I will tell you now.” Jeremiah then began speaking rapidly in a strange language.

“You speak in the language of the ancients.” Anubis was amazed and pleased at the same time. He had not heard this language in many millennia.

Osiris, too, looked pleased. The language was melodic and pleasing to the ear.

Jeremiah cleared his throat and continued. He spoke steadily for fifteen minutes. He stopped then spoke again in English. “I have told you what you wanted to know, nu? You can let us go now.”

General Wiley spoke up. “That is not possible. You know too much. We can let your friends go if Anubis and Osiris agree, but you have the secret of the weapon. You stay.”

“He is right.” Anubis agreed. “You will stay with us for awhile, perhaps for a long while. The others can go.”

“You are going to let us go?” Syd questioned.

Anubis bared his teeth in what could be mistaken for a grin. “It will do you no good to tell what you have seen. You will just be another human abducted by aliens telling your story. Who will believe you?” He motioned to the couple in gray. “Deposit them where you found them. We have what we want.”
